Manizales ocup\u00f3 el cuarto lugar en el ICC, siendo el segundo a nivel nacional en capacidades TIC, impulsado por su liderazgo en matriculados (n\u00famero 4 con 12.231 matriculados por cada cien mil habitantes entre 17 y 21 a\u00f1os) y graduados de programas TIC (segundo en Colombia con 175,02 graduados en programas de formaci\u00f3n universitaria TIC por cada cien mil habitantes), as\u00ed como en programas TIC (segundo a nivel nacional con 2,7 programas TIC como proporci\u00f3n del total de instituciones de educaci\u00f3n superior en la ciudad), superado \u00fanicamente por Bogot\u00e1 con 2,8.<\/p>

2960 estudiantes de Manizales y 2.824 estudiantes\u00a0<\/span><\/span>de los dem\u00e1s municipios de Caldas\u00a0<\/span>en grados de quinto a noveno de colegios p\u00fablicos est\u00e1n matriculados en el programa\u00a0<\/span>jornada escolar complementaria de la Caja de Compensaci\u00f3n Familiar de Caldas \u2013\u00a0<\/span>Confa, el cual les brinda 5 horas adicionales al plan de estudios en ingl\u00e9s que\u00a0<\/span>representan 160 horas adicionales anuales.<\/span><\/p>

Manizales aument\u00f3 5 puntos en el \u00e1rea de ingl\u00e9s en las pruebas Saber 11 en el 2022\u00a0<\/span>comparado con los resultados en el 2021. Se obtuvo un resultado de 56 puntos sobre 100,\u00a0<\/span>ocupando el tercer lugar en el pa\u00eds despu\u00e9s de Bucaramanga y Armenia.<\/span><\/p>

El 71% de los colegios oficiales (37) aumentaron en sus resultados con respecto al 2021.<\/p>

El 58,8% de los colegios oficiales (30) est\u00e1n por encima del promedio nacional.<\/p>

Manizales tiene una poblaci\u00f3n de 530.000 habitantes en su \u00e1rea metropolitana. Y es la ciudad capital que presenta una de las mayores proporciones de poblaci\u00f3n en edad de trabajar o edad productiva (15 \u2013 59 a\u00f1os), equivalente al 67% del total de la poblaci\u00f3n.<\/p>
